We are a small family business that has been engaged in metal turning and milling for many years. Our relatively small team responds flexibly and quickly to the needs and demands of the customer. How we started ...
We are a family company with more than 30 years of tradition in the field of mechanical metal processing. The beginnings of the company date back to 1979, when the brothers Franc and Marjan Retko started the production of various turning parts.
In 1987, the company moved from too small premises in Ravne to new premises in the craft zone. Two years later, the first CNC lathe was purchased, which enabled the start of serial production of products. Many contacts were established with business partners from neighboring countries and the number of employees and machines grew.

- 1987 – relocation to a new location in the Log craft zone
- 1989 – purchase of the first CNC machine
- 1998 – establishment of Retko d.o.o.
- 2004 – purchase of the first robot
- 2006 – relocation to a new hall
- 2008 – ISO 9001 introduced
- 2015 – purchase of a 5th axis machine
- 2022 – solar power plant
Retko d.o.o.
Franc Retko retired in 1998 and the company was split into two independent units. Marjan Retko kept his share in the company REMF d.o.o., while Franc’s share was taken over by his sons Robert and Peter Retko, who founded a new company for this purpose – RETKO d.o.o.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the new company was also growing and the need for larger premises soon arose. Finally, in 2006, we were able to move into a new hall with an area of 1,300 m2. This enabled us to have better working conditions and at the same time the possibility of further expansion. Since 2008, we have also been the owner of the ISO 9001:2008 quality certificate, which confirmed our efforts to continuously improve production processes and products.
